Whether you have a horse that is competing ..... sprinter, dressage, harness.... or is a loved member of the family they can benefit from nutritional and herbal medicine.

My approach is dealing with the cause of issues and working to give the animal the most optimal vitality.

In a equine consultation, we sit either in person or on the phone and discuss your concerns / priorities for your horse.

A HTMA (hair tissue mineral analysis) will be organised and also a cellular analysis to determine what is occurring at a deep level. This enables me to understand why symptoms are occurring.

We then choose the best path forward with natural medicines and work together to implement the plan.

Elite

Horses in competition are elite athletes, optimal nutrition assists them in their work load, performance and all levels of ability.

Herbal medicine is also employed to reduce acid load of the muscles, improve liver, lymphatic and kidney function and calm anxiety.

Issues

A wide range of issues can be addressed e.g. race day  / jump out anxiety, pain & inflammation, pulling up sore,  laminitis, viral cough, respiratory concerns, dull coat and eyes....

I often see trainers / owners who say their horse has every reason to be well and despite a blood test “They're just 'not right'“. This is where a Naturopathic viewpoint is of great assistance.

Remedies

Administering remedies to horses is straight forward, with remedies being given in feed or over the tongue.

(Its very rare for these remedies to have side effects e.g herbal anti-inflam / analgesic do not cause ulcers like medicines such at Bute).
